Straw, Grass, Fibre Pellets, Molasses, Soya Oil, Broad Spectrum Vitamin and Mineral Supplement, Chamomile, Lemon Balm, Mint, Limestone

Mollichaff Calmer Complete contains a balanced blend of fibre pellets, oat straw, dried grass, herbs, soya oil, vitamins, minerals, limestone and trace elements. It also includes a carefully formulated combination of camomile, lemon balm and mint.

It supplies elevated levels of magnesium because a diet deficient in magnesium can result in increased muscle contraction, making the horse less able to relax and more likely to become excitable or ‘fizzy’. It also contains Vitamin B1 and B12.

Low in both sugar and starch, Mollichaff Calmer Complete provides limited controlled energy from high quality, digestible fibre and oil-based ingredients, making it an excellent feed for horses and ponies that are easily excited. It can be used as the sole concentrate feed as it contains a broad-spectrum vitamin and mineral supplement, and it carries the HoofKind logo to show that it is safe to feed to horses and ponies prone to laminitis.

The following table is intended as a guide only; good quality forage should also be offered to complete the diet. Remember that every horse is an individual and should be treated accordingly.

  • Always weigh feedstuffs, particularly when feeding horses and ponies that are overweight, excitable or prone to laminitis.
  • Feed dry or damp according to preference.
  • As with all new feedstuffs, introduce gradually and increase quantities as required.
  • Clean, fresh water should be available at all times.

I have a T.B gelding who is a quiet worrier who is prone to ulcers and i used to see him cribbing on the fence whenever i arrived at the yard. I switched him over to Calmer Complete and within a week i noticed a difference in him, he seemed more chilled. Within two weeks i noticed that when i got to the yard he was grazing. We are now on our second bag and the only time i see him cribbing is when he has his feed. He will always crib but that is much reduced and he appears so much happier, he loves this feed and he leaves a clean bowl.
